Armor after Wyvernfang Quests?

Where is the next level of progression for plate classes after the Wyvernfang Quest armor?
 
Is it class specific or generic plate, chain, leather, silk again? Can anyone give th basic details of where the items drop that you need for the armor are? (i.e. zone names not specific mobs or anything)

It is basically silk, chain, leather, and plate armor that you receive by combining components with an NPC of your chosen faction (Giant/Dragon). First you must decide which faction you would like to go with, last I knew general consensus was that Dragon was caster and Giant melee, but not sure on that anymore, so choose whom you like, and get yourself to at least warmly, tho some say you need to be ally. Now you can go to any level 50+ zone and the materials you need drop randomly off any mobs. They are as follows:
All Non-No Drop Stones:
Lavastone shard, Lavastone, Large Lavastone (Silk)
Waterstone shard, Waterstone, Large Waterstone(Chain)
Gleaming Pearl Shard, Gleaming Pearl, Large Gleaming Pearl(Leather)
Midnight Pearl Shard, Midnight Pearl, Large Midnight Pearl(Plate)

No-Drops:
Ornate Silk, Leather, Chain, or Plate Breastplate, Greaves, Leggings, etc.
(I believe there is a piece for every slot except jewelery slots and belt and Primary/Secondary/Range).

Basically, You take your Ornate armor drop along with 3 stones and turn these in to the Named NPC of your faction and the NPC returns to you a piece of the armor fashioned with stats, etc. I don't recall which stones go with which Ornate drop, but I'm guessing the shards are for like small pieces like bracers and the Large are for large pieces like the Breastplate and normal size probably for arms or something.

In any event, this is best done with a guild or a large group of friends that can help each other out in obtaining all the stuff you need. The stones appear to drop in all the 40/50/60's zones off any random mob, but back when I did this last year, the ornate pieces happen to be more common on mobs that were difficult to solo and very common on mini-bosses and named mobs. Some of the zones where this stuff drops include, Dragon Necropolis, Deepshade, Eldenals, Sirens Grotto.

Hopefully, this helps you some, I wish I could recall the names of the NPC's in Stormkeep and ToV, but it was too long ago and I can't remember, sorry.
 
You only have to be warmly. Ally is required when you begin to get SE / DHK gems, to upgrade your Draconic or Storm forged armour.

I used spectral armour on both of my characters until I started replacing it with random pieces like Wyvernhide, tailor made. After Wyvern hide stuff, I moved on to the quest armour that is stated here.

Wyvern hide runs about 150 pp for the minor pieces, 300 for the tunic, 200 for the legs... or you know, close to that.
 
i believe waterstones are for leather right? thats what i used for my monk at least. think you got a few of em mixed up.
