Are camps enforced?

Hey all,

I'm kinda new to the WR server, but one thing I've noticed is that wherever I seem to go I always run into people that like to just walk up and take mobs from an area that I'm obviously camping. I complained about this ooc last night and someone said "It's allowed". I asked if that were true but never got a response. So I'm wondering... is it true?

Btw, this post is not a complaint. I'm merely curious =P
 
At higher lvls it seems most ppl have respect for each others camps, thats the rare chance you have more then one group exp'n in a zone.

I did run into ppl who did this once b4 to an alt of mine, i just rolled in my main to clear things up but I guess you lack that convience.
 
Due to the small population, there is not really a camp rule, as usually there are more than enough mobs and it doesn't really come up. However, if someone is doing it after you ask them to stop, GMs can and will intervene.

From the rules page:

So, if someone is KSing you and making your play time here unenjoyable, petition and a GM will handle it.
 
Maybe this is bad of me... but I have come to the opinion that any mob not currently engaged is free game. Maybe this comes from playing many games other than EQ, but I dont really respect the camp concept anymore. I usually give the player a few seconds after a new pop to pull it out of courtesy, but if you miss that window of opportunity then I feel the mob is free game.
 
By server policy, unengaged mobs are free game. This does not mean a level 60 can move in and monopolize an entire low level area to get revenge or something, though.
 
Earlier in a post it was stated that the GMs would interevene if someone asked you to stop and you kept it up could you elaborate on that. Also a while back one of my chars needed some obsidian for a quest so i went to the rogue mines and killed some dwarves, a troll who was there got extrememly mad and said the whole lower lvl of mines in thurg were his, i thought camping was just counted as in one room?

It refers to if someone is KSing from you - engaging a mob you have already engaged.

Said troll had no backing in rules.
