archaic frags

We killed trash in Prison yesterday for 2-3 hours, droped at least one shaman frag, two druid frags, some cleric frags, TONS of mage frags, some wiz, a necro frag........ Only class I cant recall is enc frags, but there where most likely one of thoose to in the mix somewhere. And it was all different kinds of pieces so its not like you only get full pages or so.

There is nothing wrong with the drop rate there at least from what I could see.

Ya why wouldnt 1 lucky ass day make the drop rate seem right. Ive cleared the easy side of frost like 3 times this past month and havent seen a single frag. Done IP clears with nothing but ritual pieces dropping. Its pretty bad but when it rains it pours.

I liked the idea Kedrin came up with, involving a quest on tier to kill bosses in an order to get their spell. Maybe something that allows people to do the quest and it's based on effort, not waiting on respawns on a mob that will get sniped and kept down all the time.

Hail a *version of a raid boss, kill the guy, get the frag for the person who hailed and went through dialogue.

removing thaz really hurt things for priests, you had way more mobs to farm in lower thaz for the half pages (faster respawn as well, and you could clear it with 1 group) and upper thaz for the full page rather than having to do frost. same deal.

This I think is the biggest issue for priest classes. Thaz trash was I believe 8 hour respawn, so it was always up to go try to farm the frag. When you have to wait 5 days to kill 16 monsters in hopes one of them drops your class and correct piece seems little crazy. INT casters at least get guaranteed drops in Valorb, so they know they have a 25% chance to get their class on the frag.

Without thaz in the game at the moment, the priest frags kind of seem like the Quest Piece (forget name) that would drop from PoNightmare worms. 7 day respawn with few worms only but it was recognized that the drop rate was just ridiculously low after 2 paladins kept it down for liek 6 months and no one saw the piece.

So lowering respawn on trash, upping percent drop rate slightly, alternative quest, or have a guaranteed drop from boss (random on which piece) seem like all plausible solutions to the removal of thaz and rarity of priest archaic frags.

Back when I was in White Tee's I got my last shaman frag from the "hard side" of Frost. We had also rotted a few shaman frags from there as well. I think we got Dodie's last archaic page from the easy side of Frost when we went farming there in Exodus a couple months back.

The drop rate in frost is an absolute joke. I know people have gotten frags there, but as a guild we first raided there in September, and we still raid there. We do both the east and west wings, and after 4 months we have seen a total of ZERO frags. Not just frags of the wrong class or the wrong piece which would be frustrating enough, but literally nothing.
I know archaics are supposed to be hard but it seems like priests really got the short end of the stick compared to int casters. Zones are 2-3 tiers higher and the drop rate is much worse.

That is the case now yes, but for years priests had a much easier time, because of one zone that got removed: thazeran's tower
