Any way to raise centaur faction?

The only two ways I know of:

(1)Kill the two thugs that camp next to the wall in CH, near the zone to NP. I can't remember their names - one starts with a V I think. Anyways, they both drop sashes, turn both of these sashes in to Hellron at the same time for exp and faction.

(2)If you have turned in sashes, Hellron will give you more dialog and ask for the manes of corrupted centaurs. There are a few corrupted centaur outriders in WB and in SB the zone is full of corrupted centaurs (foals, tribesmen, outriders, and elders). They all drop the manes on each kill, except for foals, who drop them about half the time.
Be warned - these centaurs are all druids and rangers - they will root you, snare you, blast you, dispell you, always have a DS, and are very good at healing themselves. Take some friends.

Also, while we're on the subject, once you have turned in enough manes to get allide faction with the centaurs, you can do Hellron's quest to kill his corrupted son. His name starts with a U (I have it written down somewhere) and he is supposed to be roaming the badlands, all crazy and whatnots. I looked all over SB for him and tried to kill many cents to see if he would spawn, but no luck. Can anyone give me a clue as to if I'm on the right track? Is he a spawn in SB and does he have a PH?

dont know about a PH, but i think he spawns in NB, near those houses in the nw corner. the ones with the undead inside of them

If you are an iksar or otherwise hated by the Centuars, you will not be able to do the quest until you are no longer KoS with Surefall. Tried it and was unable to do the turn in. I was at base faction with Surefall.

Really? I frequent NB and never saw him on track - but I was kind of assuming he wouldn't spawn in NB because there are no other centaurs in that zone :/

Damn you...

You made me sit in SB with you killing those freaks over and over again and we were in the wrong zone?!?!?

Bah...now he definitely needs to die, just so I'll have some closure. :)

I'd love to find a way to raise my centaur faction to non kos.
As a dark elf sk I started out kos to them. I have since had to kill a couple (well, one had to the other in revenge for badgering me so much).
Anyway, they are a right pain, especially when trying to do things in the badlands. I'd love to find a way to at least get to dubious.
One of my companions (ranger) is now kos to them on account of helping me out too, so I'd like to help her get back to non kos. One kill got her to threateningly.

Cheers

Only thing is that you can only do this a couple of times before the quest no longer gives you anything. Well at least for me it did and I turned in 3 sets of sashes and now when I turn them in, nothing is given back or said.

if it makes you feel any better, they recently moved him to SB

There's also more to this quest, which I can't do, the warden (Taval or Tarval, something like that) asks you to aid the centaurs... (I'm currently dubious, so he won't respond to me) and The Symbol of Friendship that Helleron gives you can be turned into the Warden for a bow and two faction increases.. Protectors of the Glade, and Citizens of the Glade I believe.. Though I still have to find a way to raise surefall faction myself to be able to get the Bow from the quest.

I've noticed this about many quests. They only go so far then you have to give up and try something else. It's a good thing, I guess, as you don't have level 65s monopolizing faction mobs that can be better used by lower levels. Weans you away from the lower end content and into something more suitable for your experience level.

I think someone needs to update Wiki with a faction / quest list, saying how far you can go with each faction and each quest before moving to the next quest.

Ulidrak the Insane (Helleron's Son) spawns in the SE corner of SBadlands, with a centaur outrider as his PH. He's not all that rare and has about a 25 min respawn.

Okie... for those of us who start out KOS to centuars for reasons unknown to us...

How do we do the main quest? I expected to just do the evil path until I discovered that it was exactly the same as the good path in talkign to the centaur. Centaurs which are KOS to all the evils, as far as I can tell.

I am a froglok shaman, and the only centaurs I have ever killed were corrupted.

Additionally, I know from my necro, cnetaur outriders... KOS to everyone I am told... give faction hits to the CH cents.

I got negative faction hits for killing corrupt centaurs in SBL, which I thought odd, to say the least.

So, come on... I know there is a Necro, Shadow Knight, Shaman, or general race of distain that has done at least that far in the Main Quest. How do we get past it?

I didn't have any problem talking to Helleron as an Iksar Monk - just walked right up and talked to him. All the other centaurs surrounding him were green so that might have helped just a bit... :p

Yes, I discovered that. 6 total hours in BB, I have about 40 gnoll ears. And my faction is still ready to attack... not even threateningly.

How many more hours should I expect to deny everyone else the use of blackburrow. Some people are none too pleased that a level 46 is killing everything in the dungeon.

WHY DO SHAMAN BEGIN LIFE KOS TO MAIN QUEST MOBS????
