Why was this changed to a spell effect instead of the song effect?

15 slots for buffs is pretty low for all the ones I can cast on myself and if I can get clarity or other buffs that don't overwrite mine, The amice clicky is now taking up one of the few that I have left for potions, for a few second buff that I don't always need, but would like to be able to use sometimes without canceling buffs that I need more often.

is the limit of 15 buffs to keep everyone from having free reign of unlimited buffs from the potions solo without grouping or buying buffs?

No. It's a client side issue that can not be changed AFAIK.
 
Live did update it to 20 slots iirc
However such updates in the client of live cannot be easily added to SoD without a huge overhaul which is just really not needed. I would say however I would like this clicky to be a bard song as opposed to a spell buff if possible.
 
You're both saying the same things. We don't have more than 15 buffslots because the client doesn't allow it and we can't edit the client.
 
Glad that this was FIXED and lasts the full 2 minutes again. And really, if you are buffed with 15 buffs you are most likely in a very decent group or even on a raid and wont really need that 10% extra (and wont get it anyway if you have a bard singing hastesong or you are indoors). Personally, I use it 99% solo only

Btw, on live it was 21 slots (Nov 05), 5 for 5 AA each and one extra for DoN progression.

I can fill that, and still have to choose what I keep and what I don't just buffing myself with my druid and chanter, and another friend around.

With my own self buffs (my enchanter included) I can only use 4 potions this way and one would overwrite my own str. buff.
 
Uhm yeah. Only 4 potions. Btw what did you do before the alchemy revamp? Sit at the bank and /ooc Help I cant play with only 14 buffs? :roll:
 
I may have missed something but I think someone wanted to know why an effect was changed into a buff instead of a song, not mainly about the number of buff slots which is obviously stuck until further notice.
 
So that it will last the proper duration and act like a real buff instead of a song.

I severely doubt that the amice will be used on any raid where your 15 slots will be filled, as you will probaby either be underground or have a bard.
