ALLOW ME TO CLEAR UP A MISCONCEPTION

Ah... gotcha. Lingo/nomenclature is a problem for some... I thought it was pretty brazen to tell a gm to delete their own stickied post.

Yes, but we need to understand... there may have been a time in each of our lives where we meant to say hamburger and accidently said airplane... given that, I say we forgive the use of incorrect words and move along.

(or, we can let the gms know they're being bossed around, and see what they do ;) )

No, I meant thread. I read the whole thread. It just looked like dirty laundry to me. The mod asked for this kind of stuff to be kept to PMs. The initial post was the only part of the thread that was meant to be stickied by the mod. All the rest of the junk is collateral damage that doesn't need to stay.

I did't mean to disrespect anyone when I made the request. But, this thread makes baby kittens cry.

I'm just going to circumvent this whole discussion and hit on the point that is bothering me with all of this.

I am as american as apple pie, and a damned conservative one at that. But even then, I have issues with the american mentality concerning "Free Speech." I really wish that we all would read the constitution. Then you would understand that Freedom of Speech is a right supplied by the government concerning the prevention of governmental intervention into private citizens lives regarding issues to which said government has problems with. For example, this right simply prevents you from being succeptable to legal action from federal or state bodies because you said something they don't agree with. It is not the right to say whatever you like however you want wherever you wish and have everyone be fine with it. It is the right to do so and not go to jail. I have the ability to tell you to shut the hell up, and that's my right. There is no constitution in existance on the planet that says that private parties have no right to moderate your commentary. End of story. Everyone, even under the American Constitution, has the right as private citizens to cover your mess of pretentious pensivity. That's our right.

So just shut up, yahkthx.

P.S. While i'm on the subject of the constitutional misconseptions of its' inhabitants, Americans really don't understand their constitution. For example: nowhere is it stated in the constitution that there is a seperation of church and state, and nowhere is it a law. It was a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to a Reverend in MA, stating simply that the state would not sponsor a specific religion. So now people freak out over commandments in courthouses and bibles in school libraries, thus affording the rest of the modern world to point and laugh. Also giving Canada the opportunity to create TV shows dedicated to asking us simple questions and gawking/laughing histerically as we respond ever so inanely. </rant>
