Adventuring Bands- The Bugs

Ok well I have seen a few things that I think should be changed/considered by staff. First the /cm bt is under the "other" filter wich is kinda artarded because xp, fac hits and some other junk that most peeps don't like to see in there chat windows is there, possibly move this to a channel filter or ooc or gu or group filters, really anything other then other filter =P. Secondly their is a bug that when you rez some one in a band, the xp gained is split, this is obv not supposed to happen, but hey if it can't be fixed no problem. Overall bands rock and thanks wiz for implementing their 1337ness....no more problems came to my attention...once again ROCKS!

same thing with /cm rt.
 
is the xp number that shows, really the amount of the xp that u get?

let me try to explain...

I was logged off, and a friend was xping, we were banding. when i log back in, there is 211.000xp made. altho, it only moved half 1 yellow of AA. i really tought 211kxp were more then just half 1 yellow.

I am curious as to where the client gets the colour for /cm bt and /cm rt from. I would like to change the colour of them if at all possible, but I'm guessing the server tells the client, so I doubt it. I just can't stand the bright green of bt.
 
You can change the colors of ALL text by hitting alt- o in game and going to the colors tab. It'll list all the individual areas you can change there. You'll have to mess with it a bit to figure out which one is which.
 
That's the thing. I looked there, and there is only one thing I have that is that shade of green, and that is "10 - You hit other" I tried changing that, just to see if they were somehow linked, and they are not. I appreciate the help, anyway.
 
I found that my friend got over 800k xp, and didnt even get 1 AA, whilst i did got 1 AA

Another question:
My band is this:

Me (a)
My Shaman (B)
My friend (c)

If i kill a mob that gives 3k, i'll get 1.5k or 1k xp?

This can't be fixed, since /cm commands are not coded into the client, there is no way of creating a new channel for Bands, so instead they implement it with a server side code.

Yes it can be fixed.
 
Sorry Wiz, I really didn't mean to say It couldn't be fixed. =P

But I'm sure it'll be impossible to create a real channel and add it into the client. But the stuff you guys script is pretty impressive, especially with all the limitations of a custom server code, and a client.exe that's untouchable.
 
So is there any way you can change the filters on it? I guess its superficial and all but it still buts me and makes me not use it as much as i would like...while we are at the request thing, /cm bt is sluggish /bt would work for meh =).
 
If you have an xp debt, you don't recieve band xp until this is paid off. If this is the case and you leave the band before paying off your debt, you lose all your band xp. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not.

/bt isn't possible to code in, Wiz isn't able to add client commands. Using /cm is the only way of creating a channel. And changing the filters wouldn't be possible. I'm not sure whether Wiz could change the color server side, but I doubt it'll be doable using the options in the client. Maybe though he could create a /cm that allowed you to set the color of Band Chat.

I don't really see how that would be a problem unless you have a terrible compelling desire to leave your band that robs you of your free will.
