Add Gleaming Steel Sword (Vah) to Crumbling Maps

Just as the title says. ED maps are a massive and expensive bottleneck for those who want to obtain their Vah backs. While there never seems to be enough of them around, many of the crumbling maps I've seen end up rotting because there is very little incentive to do them. Even those which are looted sit for the most part in people's banks. Can we get an ease to the congestion and put the sword drop in the Crumbling Map loot table? I don't see how this would significantly alter balance of the quest.

*Before anyone says this is contrary to lore, we're dealing with a race from the lands of magic who were scattered to the far reaches of the world - it isn't implausible that this sword could have ended up in Ikisith at some point.

I don't think it alters balance but considering none of the Vah quest touches Ikisith I don't think your lore argument holds up; I say this as someone who only needs the ED tmap piece to be ready for the Shar Vahl raid. I think I've done six of them and am getting cash to buy more.

When crumbeling maps were 1st introduced, someone added vah swords to them shortly after. That lasted for as long as it took for The Slaar to spot that, and remove them from that loot table again. So I wouldn't hold my breath on this.

Sadly things like this are by design.

I could start a long rant about various pieces of the Vah quest that bug the hell out of me, but we'd be here all day. Suffice it to say, it is unlikely at this point that the quest will change appreciably. I am mid-quest on one of my characters as we speak (screw you, Advisor Garathor), so I feel your pain, but it's just not something anyone should expect a major change to.

If the reward is good or even decent, then the quest has to make more people quit the game then people who finish the quest.
its the rules.
I know a few people who literally kill the 3 day quest mobs just to annoy other people on the quest.... and this is viewed as legitimate....

in all seriousness, vah need more of a time spent type system then a, luck/poopsock devotion to it.
RNG not being a bitch and literally not ever sleeping or having a job are not things that you finishing a quest should hinge on.
At a certain point if you are willing to put a decent amount of time into something you should be rewarded.
This is why having a token system to back up your RNG system is how EVERY mmo is going.
