Account Recovery?

I'm sure this is probably right under my nose, but when I'm at this page:

It has a link for "account recovery" but just takes me to the main page on this forum. I found the place on the forum to recover my FORUM account, but can't find where to recover my GAME account. Any help?

I actually saw that post and figured that method isn't used anymore because I haven't gotten a response in a long time? There is no web interface type thing for changing your game account's password like there is to change your forum account's password?
 
Er sorry, yes I need to recover my game account and change the password. You can do this for your forum account through the web interface, but not for your game account? I know the email it is tied to.
 
Well, when you decide what it is you want, the options are above.

If you have sent a *recovery* email more than two days ago, and its not answered, it either wasnt received, or you failed to follow instructions, because i cleared them out at that time. So make sure to follow the instructions laid out in that thread, and re-send it.

No, there are no better/faster/stronger/smarter methods for recovery. Yet.
 
Ok, just sent another email to the recovery gmail account. I guess it maybe didn't get sent the first time because I'm sure all the information required is on there. Thanks again, I guess it's time to wait some more. /sigh
 
I had to send a few e-mails when I needed an account reset.

I decided that the problem was that either I was not clear enough or too wordy and the e-mails here getting deleted. My last one I took great effort to be brief, very clear what I was requesting and to include any data they might need. And that e-mail was answered.

I recommend that anyone who requests this kind of thing to take great pains in drafting the e-mail. I included something similar to the donator form (assuming that it is a format easy to respond to):

"Account name: xxxxxxx
Character name: xxxxxx"

and stuff like that.

I would avoid narratives as to what happened.
 
Theres no such thing as too much information, especially when trying to recover an account with a different email, or no email assigned to it. If the info we need is there, itll be done regardless of formatting.

Things that are ignored are emails that dont include a new password. I made the text in the topic huge, bold, and red, and it still is ignored. So we stopped sending responses to those individuals.

And when they get yelly about it in IRC, they get a faceful of Ikaafist.

*edit* you also have to make sure you are sending it to the right place. staff@shards is NOT the correct email address, and anyone sending recovery emails there will likely get no response/resolution
