We are working on implementing an account management tool that will provide information on your account/characters. Part of the information we are providing is a log of all IP's that have accessed your account. We are making this information available to you so you can better manage access to your characters. If we find out that it ends up causing more trouble than its worth, it will be quickly removed. If you have any questions or find something stolen we still urge you to contact a staff member so we can sort it out and provide you with accurate information. So to summarize; If you don't want someone to see your IP - don't log their account in.

Some features we plan on implementing: Bank information, Mail waiting for your characters, Guild Tool, Password Recovery via security question (this will not replace the current method of recovering your password from the old password wipe), as well as other suggestions we receive from the playerbase that we feel would make a valuable addition to this utility.

This sounds awesome!

If possible, could you provide the ability to either accept mail remotely, or reset the return-date (subject to some limit to prevent abuse) on mail for those times we can't get online but can get on the web? Maybe even the ability to cancel outgoing mail sent?

I might be able to remotely accept email incase you are on vacation and have web access but no game access. I will have to check with Wiz to see if its just an ez DB move.
 
Another thought... Could you include a way to do a "/cm listadd" from the interface?

This would be super-convenient for us tradeskill whores with multiple accounts of seller mules, and would even reduce a tiny amount of server load as we log in and log out each of those mules just to do the /cm listadd every 4 days. ;)

No way we're giving this tool write access to characters.
 
2 suggestions if this is a kind of anti theft device. 1: when u log into the server screen maybe it can tell u somewhere how many failed login attempts since your last loggin (how many mispelt password attempts) so then ud know if someone other than yourself is tryingf to get into your account. and 2. not sure if this is the right place. but maybe putting a bank pin or secret answer to the banker like you would have to in real life. and this pin or answer would be the same for all characters on 1 account. so nobody but you could acess the bank on your account.
 
Will the transferring of characters from 1 account to another be possible with this tool?

I got 2 toons on same account and i think i crash a lot when boxing them because of that, i'd like to make another account and transfer 1 to the new account if that doesn't brake any known rules.
 
You are crashing a lot because playing two different toons from the same account is illegal. At one point they had a character transfer, but I am not sure they will do it anymore.

i know its against the rules to 3box, but not 2box.

I just wasn't aware it was not allowed to 2box on same account. I never noticed this rule anywhere.

I'll be started my 2nd account tonight an getting started on it right away then.
 
I like this proposed change, and don't have a problem with the visibility of my IP as I don't share my computer or character with anyone I don't trust 100%. As to potential uses for this account management tool, it would be beautiful if it could include a function comparable to old email feature in live, or a PM on a message board. I am a tradeskill ho with several sellers up, and it would be great to be able to go into one tool and receive messages like "I need a lot of glass vials and you are out, please listsend me 40 stacks"

I will add my usual "I am not a programmer and I know jack about what constitutes difficult" but if this is remotely feasible I think it would be a very nice feature. I actually like the listsold better than the Bazaar system because it does mean everything isn't handed to you on a platter. But like many people, I have separate sellers for particular items because it helps to establish some regularity for the shoppers. So the ability to have messages sent to each seller, that could then be retrieved all at once by the account holder makes me drool a little.

LMFAO @me....wow seriously. Really didn't post to that in the first place to be an ass, I just saw it at the top and read it without realizing it was an old one that had been stickied. *smack*
