Aansaag Policy change?

is it possble to make Warden Aansaag in toT lobby an exception to the "all people ""Actively"" contributing" rule if the said toons helped clear to him? persay example:

you form a pug. your generally not gonna get an overtiered pug heading that direction and so you need a full raid to kill the trash. however once you're at The Warden himself its much easier to slap 3-5 healers 1 tank 2 DPS and an Ench as only ones acctually engaging the mob to prevent bads from healing him.

so with that strat it would leave the rest of the raid sitting around. i know it is doable to kill him using the everyone attack strat and dont be bad but in a pug this rarely happens. the using less people strat is a much more viable way of getting loots for pugs using the less people strat. most pugs clear to him and wipe cause they can't keep their DPS under control.

so can it be changed or will this just be a dont be bad scenario and it stays the way it is?

also put it in this forum cause i wasn't really sure if it belonged here or suggestion and requests or policy plaza

the fact that people are bad does not mean there should be a policy change. PuGs are an excellent example of badness, chain badness and omg /facepalm badness.

if a toon cant survive on the encounter, it doesnt get brought along is replaced with another one in any normal raid. same should still apply here.

/agree Vart...
If they are so bad they wipe the raid, kick them without giving them a rez, continue with the ppl that can follow instructions (or give them easy tasks, heal the healers for the rangers, shielding for the warrior and so on)
It doesnt say that you have to do a BIG part of the contributing.

it is sad to me that the underlying implication is that until warden ansaag there are no fights where bad players can wipe the raid and i think maybe i will have to do something about that

If they are that bad, kick them out of your pug.

They need to actively participate. If they are bad but not just absolutely terrible, make them be cautious with their attacks. Cautious and not doing as much DPS as they could/should, but at least making an active contribution is at least actively participating.

Bad people can wipe raids at about every fight, just bad people at ansaag make for a hillarious time.

most of the time bad people kill themselves, on ansag they heal the boss so you can never win, hence the "2/3 of dps sit and do nothing" strat

Make your DPSers use a Melwin's Idol (assuming that the ice ele is not available to most), then if they miss the GIANT RED FLASHING BOX OF OH GOD NO NOT THAT on their buff bar, someone can say "Hey asshole, you're not a werefrog, gtfo the boss."

Contrary to popular belief (I'm going to hell for this one) SoD is just a game, there's no reason enjoying the game should include "Sit there and do nothing" anywhere outside of a major city. People venture forth to slay dragons, spectator slots are reserved for NPCs and Warriors.

Unless all this was changed/fixed the last 8 times it's come up. In which case I say "Oops, I snappa da pencil!"

i've killed aansaag both ways. im definatley not saying its impossible for a pug of bads to kill aansaag. its just much easier for a pug to clear to him and then make them sit on their ass'es while the big boys kill him. but oh well. Thanks for the quick answers!

Oh really? This is why I learned to drop agro onto rogues. A skill all tanks should learn.

Technically, you dropped aggro onto the shaman and enchanter, because i never had enough time to get within aggro range of the mobs before the clerics burned Gwaine Downs!

In OP Gwaine usually died faster than it takes the razorbacks to lose to the local highschool JV football team =(

Oh ho! Taking a shot at my beloved alma mater? Clearly you haven't been watching football!

And yes, despite my best efforts Aeternus healers (Including you THADE!) enjoyed seeing me die regardless of the raid target.
