A serious question to the staff

Could we make it to where the monster summoned with the spell would be a random model from mobs in that zone? I.E. a swarm of tiny piranhas could fly out if you used it in Blackburrow, casting it in Faentharc could net you a swarm of pixies or gemathians. Those models are already in the zone, i don't know about this from a coding perspective, but I believe thats how it worked on live, it spawned a pet from the set of models used in that zone.


Only problem I see is zoning and your pet not dying, and then models not being in the new zone. But thats only if you change the spell from a swarm to a permanent pet, which I doubt you plan to do.

Which is why it will probably never happen. It's pretty much under the category of a useless flavor type spell, and low on the list of them at that. Same kind of category as making the mage invis spell a clickable summoned item, etc. Which short of a staffer developing it purely for shits and giggles, is not going to happen.

Again, that would be neat (provided the spell otherwise remained unchanged in strength, no weird mob abilities etc) but pretty much entirely flavor category.

On this note it might be because my brain has been fried by the various drugs I take and the laudanum-inspired poetry Im forced to read in literature class, but I would swear we've already had this exact thread, from this exact poster, and the response was: "cool idea, nobody wants to put their time into implementing it."
