A bazzare from live type of selling a Player Merchant.

I was just wonder if you could make some sort of Bazzare from live? I played live for maybe 1 1/2 - 2 years. From 99-2000. I forgot why I stopped, so I i'm not familiar with much, but i do remember a bazzare which a player could set up a shop type of thing and set prices on items they are looking to sell or something of the sort. I know we have Vendors and such, but some of us can't afford a vendor and some are priced very high. I havn't really thought it out much, but i thought that just maybe a good thing... maybe not.

Some people have already suggested this. The Dev's, for whatever reason they have, will not put in a bazaar. It gets laggy, crowded and annoying with spam. I do remember them talking about implementing a system where you can search all vendors but i dunno where they went with that idea.

Vendors

I think the player vendors effectively act just like the bazaar, of course you have to work a little to get the cash to do it. I like the idea of running around checking vendors for that hidden deal, it adds to the realism of the game.

I thought there was a bazaar zone at one time, but it was taken out for one reason or another.. mainly to enforce player interaction I think?

I think there should be a "marketplace" zone or multiple zones in one area that works similar to bizarre from live. A neutral place where all races can meet and sell. I dislike the player vendors now, snp is the hot spot with oggok a very distant second. It costs too much for a low level character to purchase a vendor, and most the good vendor locations are taken.

Think that point has far been made and has been said the devs did not like the idea of a bazaar, yes a bazaar not bizarre which is something strange or out of the ordinary.

IMO vendors are a luxury. Those who have the money to afford one and profit from it, do. Those who can not are forced to used the most common and practical, /auc. Making too many vendors just makes it bad for everyone, you get lost in a sea of vendors and having one is no longer a privilage, it's commonplace.

Excuse my poor grammar, and thank you for the definition. I believe having more vendors would be good for the community, even more for new players who do not have the money to pay the usually outrageous prices on most of the current player vendors. It's like shopping in an expensive store when really you're just looking for a walmart. Just my opinion, many others agree.

I support the idea of a bazaar mainly because it forces player vendors to be competitive. I can't tell you how many times I've seen shit marked up 300+% over the average price.

Now, assuming the devs won't put in a bazaar, is it possible to have all vendors within 1-2 zones, like a flea market? And how about a vendor classification system? I've seen vendors who sell nothing but spells for higher levels, so you could classify this as a "Spell Vendor". You could have melee vendors, tradeskill vendors, etc, weapon vendors, caster, etc.

And of course, some sort of searchable criteria would be awesome. Perhaps something like if you are browsing the wanelo, you can click on an item and search for any vendors that have it for sale, their location, vendor name, and asking price?

"Oh, Zombu has some nice stuff. Wow, cool shield! I'd love to get that. 'Search to purchase'? Hrm. Oh, looks like Irgo has one for sale on his vendor at South Newport for 1200pp. I can do that!"

No Bazaar. We've been through this time and time again.

Not even if we called it "The Bizarre" and you had a 50/50 chance to buy items that were totaly different then what you selected to purchase?
