1017 from Hell

Ok, before Friday I had not received a single 1017 since i got a new computer and DSL a year ago. Now I get nothing but 1017's.

Repatched all, made sure computer is current, checked all firewalls/AV and the normal stuff, maunally verified the IP was listed correctly as Wiz posted.

No idea what this may be and I am really hoping anyone has any helpful ideas.

Yea after server migration I've had same problem. In order to not get eternal 1017 I have to Repatch All every single time I log in now. And even doing that I still get atleast one 1017. Before new server i hadn't gotten any for atleast 6 months. Text file is also accurate.
 
Ok, today I tried to log in and succeeded, no idea why. Running with latency (middle numbers) ranging from 3% to 25% or higher. Always some though.

After a disconnect, went back to 1017's. :eek:
 
We may have an idea of whats causing this, report back after tomorrow's maintenance and let us know if it still is happening as much or at all.

Thank you so much! Knowing it is being looked at is reassuring. If there is any further info I can supply, let me know. I will happily assist in any way I can.

On other news, when I installed E_Q I made 3 folders of it. One to play from, one patched only after I knew the previous patch did not make anything go wonky, and one totally unaltered. I have tried all of them and none work. I again managed to get a toon in with high latency (3.1-35+ %) after copying the unaltered one and patching it up, but when I tried to zone I was booted to server select. Just want to keep you guys up to date in case it helps.
 
Didn't have any problems logging in until today. Got home from work shortly after 2pm pst, and was able to get in. Pretty much as soon as I did though I was informed that the server would be coming down for a restart. So, I logged out and did a couple of quick chores around the apartment. Ever since then though I have been getting Error 1001 constantly. Tried "repatch all", tried adjusting eqhost.txt as per Wiz's suggestion, no such luck.

Looks like I'll be on Xbox rest of the night. :(
 
Had this happen directly after the move, went away after ~4 hours.


I do however have major trouble connecting to the login server once in a while, not sure if this is somehow connected.
 
Ok, repatching all is getting me to server select and about 50% past that to character select. Then making it about half the time to server from character select. Able to zone now without constant crashes (zoned 5 times).

Saw the message about patch at 1pm EST. Crossing my fingers!
 
I do not know what has changed, but today I was able to get in with almost no lag and function quite well 2 boxxing even.

Hopefully problem is solved!
 
Duno about anybody else but i still get regular boots to desktop on zoning and the usual log in eror when i can log in my bar is generaly at 300 - 1000 6% - 30% thinges were running perfect for a few days after server went up and seems to be going downhill a little more every day
