1.94.0.0 Patcher Problem 11/29/2014

Played SoD just fine last night, had fun repelling Kaezul's invasion of Faydwer.

Tried to spool up SoD this morning through the patcher like normal. Patcher said a new version was available, so told it to update itself and restart.

Patcher now won't work, instead, I get a "is not a valid Win32 application" error.
SoD won't launch at all, get the same error no matter what I try.

Tried nuking and re-downloading the patcher, and the PatchFiles direct download to no avail.
Scoured the old tech support threads, nuked old sodpatchers, problem persists.

Currently running SoD (fine up until this morning) on an older Windows XP machine.
Patcher version says it's version 1.94.0.0
 
1.95 fixed the problem. Deleted the 1.94.0.0 patcher, downloaded and installed the 1.95 from the main page, and now SoD starts up like normal.

I really appreciate the rapid turn-around and fix.

I appreciate Grinkles taking the time to thoughtfully and politely answer my question (just hit him up out of the blue, he didn't know me from Adam).

Great community, and I will say that if the staff & devs were running a for-profit, they would have earned a customer in me.
 
So I have the 1.95 patcher but when I go to log in I get the window where I am suppost to type in my name and pw, which I do and this works, the following window where you normally hit ENTER only gives me two button options EXIT and NEWS. There is no server information, for instance, how many ppl are on the server before I log in and such it is simply blank of information...though the window appears normal...I am guessing somewhere along the line I have a disconnect.
 
I scratched everything except the torrented EQ game file and rebooted everything. Note I was in the hospital and had loads of time to play around on the game while I was there prior to surgery and during recovery when I was awake. This is literally the first time I have been on since getting home yesterday. I think it must have been blocked by the hospital's server or what not because when I tried getting on the game from home a few moments ago it seemed to be working again. Thus my delimma is solved. However, Taryth thank you for your response I thought it was weird too. In any case, it is working now and I can play while I recover at home. Thank you for your help.
 
I love that you're having surgery but concerned about SoD. That's some serious dedication!
