Well, I'm not sure if we just haven't figured out the strat totally.. but, in talking with others and my own experience, the boss before him, "Scholar Adrassi" appears to be broken.
Without giving too much away, it appears even when you do what your supposed to do correctly (with the hammers) Scholar still AE's hard.. I imagine you could power through it if you had high enough end toons, but I don't think its working right. Other people I've talked too have told me he's not supposed to AE like that when we do what we're doing.
Anyway, that's my guess to why the big boss in air is up, the one before him is a pain.
Can anyone confirm if the scholar is working as intended? We've just kind of left him on the premise that he's broken and have moved on to other things.
edit.. I know the question was why he only drops 4 loots, I thought my post was close enough to topic to not warrant a separate post
