WR Patcher problem

Whenever I try to open the WR patcher I get a weird DOS window with an error message. Then, it creates a .err file in the WR folder. This is even before I have pointed to the EQ folder with the patcher. I tried re downloading the patcher and opening to different folders but none has helped

i have had this problem...

way i fixed it was by reinstalling the patcher, overwriteing what i had already had installed.

You probably have the wrong patcher?

I will say that I am using the original patcher and not having problems (as of yesterday). Have not received any updated finles recently that I recall but I am definately not getting any errors using the old patcher (so I would hope that is not the issue)

But I would definately try running the Beta Patcher - just be sure to have the .NET Framework installed from Microsoft.

try deleteing the old installer? Rebooting?

i think you get that error, because a process has snagged the aplication..
