WR excluded from EQEmu problems?

Hey all.. I'm thinking about coming back to WR and was wondering if I would be able to.

I've been reading up a lot on the eqemu forums and it sounds like its majorly borked if you update. but since I'm on a new computer and I won't be able to update only to a certain day.. Will I be able to get all the expansions I need and be able to play on WR? And if not is there any way to fix this problem or am I just SoL?

No offense.. but I HAVE read that... actually a long time ago and just recently.. I used to play a few chars on this server including Aubrey which some of the older people might remember.. (hope shes still alive =p) and your response does absolutely nothing to answer my question.

First off it was written before EQEmu fell behind EQLive (12/15) and it also is only about getting into WR and not through EQEmu.. As last I checked I could not log onto EQEmu servers to get into WR on my old comp (2 weeks ago or so) and was wondering if it was cause I updated to live or if it was just that my comp was giving me problems (which it had been)

Well, aside from the eqemulator website being down, including the main login servers, apparently you did not read it. If you follow those directions, that is how you can play on Winter's Roar. Winter's Roar has been on the same version of EQ for over a year. I assumed that since you said you have previously played here, that you would know this.
 
sigh.. I don't think you get what I'm asking.. I can't get past eqemu to LOG INTO WR! that is the problem cause since the patch on 12/15 eqemu has been reporting that they are no longer up to date with eqlive and BECAUSE of that I can't get past the log in INTO EQEMU! I was wondering if the patching of WR fixed that or not or if I need an older patch version of eq

Actually that has zip all to do with that and you're the one who doesn't get what ChrrdFldsOfSnow is saying, not the other way around.

aye if u read it.. it never says anything about having to be up to date with emu or anything. it just says instal. patch. use WR files. good to go.. only eqemulator.net thing used is the account. so if u dont have one. ur kinda screwed till it comes back up.
 
Ahh.. My apologies... Last I played on WR we had to log in through an eqemu login server and that's where the whole problems I have been seeing have been occuring... Didn't see a single thing about using a different login server
 
aye. when u use the WR patcher u get a run button. u click that and it loads eq.. u sign in.. it will show u the WR server. u click play. and do ur char stuffs. and let de fun begin=)
