Seems that every time I change worlds or die the game crashes and I end up back on the server selection screen. I also get a few 1017 errors which eventually go away. Here is how I installed EQ Evolution.
I installed EQ Evolution and Patched it to Full On EQ Live.
I put this file (PatchWR Ver 1.01)

Into the /everquest directory.
I put this file in the /everquest/uifiles/default directory:
http://www.wintersroar.com/files/CharCreate.zip
I put the help.htm file back into the /everquest directory.
I also followed the steps suggested by this link:

Which basically replace the help.htm and default UI files.
Finally, after all the steps are done, I ran PatchWR and let it update about 49 files. When I ran it, I got in right away. Occaisionally, I will get a 1017.
The Starting Guide says the type #doapproval which I haven't but I play fine usually.
I am having these world crash and 1017 errors on 4 separate machines. 3 run XP Pro, 1 is XP Home, all SP2. Memory varies between 384 and 1GB. Video cards are all G-Force 2 through 4.
I am hoping that as WR evolves, an installer will be available that does all the installation steps required.
Anyone else have these issues? I've seen a lot of banter about the 1017 but none of the suggestions seems to apply to me. The world crash when I die or when I change worlds is pretty regular. Only once did I actually show up in the next world without crashing. By world I mean the transition area between Greater and Lesser Faydark for instance, or any other world for that matter.
