There was an old thread about this where some people said it just couldn't be coded, but I never saw any devs actually confirm that.

I think it makes sense for wizards (and maybe SKs too) to have SB as every caster gets it. SB rbow would be cool, but my main problem with not having it is that I cant SB potions. There are some fights where having a rekaj is pretty huge for a wizard, and having to reclick it over and over while others can just SB it sucks.

Anyway, if anyone can confirm if this is actually possible or not that would be great. Having it implemented would be even better =)
 
I would gladly trade my murk spell for a spell that SB'd the next spell I cast!
 
I think it was Cyzaine or someone posted somewhere that due to the inability to change the client they cannot add or remove AA's, they can only change ones that are already there.
 
I kind of assumed this was the case. With that said, I really like Nwaij's idea. Our murk is useless in its current state and if there is a way to code a spell that gives us the SB ability that would be awesome.
 
a cooler solution would be a tome making all buffs (lasting 1h or more thus covering pots) cast on self soulbound. Available to all classes.

While cool from a player perspective, I think this becomes way overpowered and unbalances any content that utilizes dispel.

And while the limitations discussed above apply to the official AA mechanic, with the addition of tomes (once called "the new AAs") this should be fairly easy to accomplish by introducing a class restricted tome for the appropriate amount of experience that accomplishes the same. The only difference would be you'd have to use a /cm command to activate instead of having a ready-made button.
 
possible that it could be OP for buffclasses yes. Your modified version with a /cm soulbind would be just as sweet though :)
 
I think this would be way OP with potions, clickies and AAs. Not only would you get the awesome benefits, your pet would also. Divine rage, body be rekaj, resist clickies..
If anything, it would have to be limited to classes without soulbond and have same reuse timer.
 
Yeah I would just like to be on par with necros/mage/chanter in that they can sb a potion or combine or w/e to themselves. A tome bought at refuge might be a good option. Could even open it to meele classes to just even the playing field for everyone if desired (or keep SB as a "caster" thing, doesnt matter to me). When the raid is asking everyone to use a certain potion for an encounter, it really sucks for all the classes that cant sb if its a hard fight for the guild and you wipe a lot. I went through sooo many more FR pots than the other casters when working through ToT tiers.

I think on the pet tome vendors might be a better option; refuge puts a rather large barrier-of-entry for many people that I don't think is justified for an AA readily accessible to other classes like this.
 
i definately would love to be able to Sb combine bp buff for dispelling fights thats for damn sure. i would gladly buy any tome or potion that allowed such things.
 
Im not sure what these way better ideas are, but I'd be really happy with a simple wizard SB thats on par with other casters. Doesn't seem hard to implement or imbalancing in any way.
 
Bump! There seemed to be a lot of support for a /cm command to use SB on non SB classes using the same cooldown and stuff. This would make Solosolki super happy!
