Wizard AAs

So I started playing SoD 3 weeks ago and really like it. got a wiz to 65 and im wondering if I could suggestions for what people would AA first? I was thinking get max crits for better overall dps? I want to raid, and am maybe getting into a low tier raid guild soon.

Let me know how you would do it

I would start by completing all of the crit AAs and unlocking primal blasts.
Next move on to mana regen abilities, [EDIT: Spell Casting Mastery goes here] and, depending on your gear, you may need to unlock some stat caps with Enlightenment, Heroic Power, and Hidden Strength (HS doesn't apply to INT, bear that in mind).
Next I would make sure you have picked up Deflect, as it is one of the best wizard AAs and the only activated AA ability I actually use with any regularity. Sword pets are fun, but they are toys.
The non-fizzle AAs are pretty awesome, especially if you two-box, since fizzles cost mana and its nice to know that when you press a casting macro it's going to cast all the spells in it.
Next, especially if you plan on raiding, I would hit up resists in this order of importance: Magic>Fire>Cold>Disease>Poison, and then follow up with dodge AAs, any int/cha you didn't pick up before, then sta and agility.
Many people like quick gate and exodus, they are more useful than the other activated AAs but I waited a long time to get them and didn't feel like I was missing much.
You can do whatever is left in any order, although honestly you might be better served moving on to tomes at this point rather than getting melee attack AAs or any of the other activated abilities (Arcane Grip, Exodus, Manaburn, Lifefire are all situational at best, and pretty much useless at worst. note: not all wizards agree with me on this point).

thanks, thats the kind of info i was looking for. Kinda disappointing that so many of our class aas are near worthless.

Any more thoughts on arcane grip? seems like that would be pretty useful, but it doesnt say what the cast time and duration is in description

When you have all the ranks of the timer shortening AA its about ~15 minutes. My problem with it is that you can't use it to replace your regular root because of the timer and in situations where it would REALLY be useful 90%of mobs will just summon you if you root them. I made a thread trying to get it changed and all the people who posted in it referred to the same solo 3-mob farming camp as the reason to keep it as-is, which seems kind of dumb to me.

How did you completely neglect spell casting mastery, I cannot speak for wizards but the difference that aa seems to make on necromancer/enchanter is insane and probably more beneficial then anything other then the crit ones.

i definitely agree with tyrone on pretty much the exact order and how most of the clickie AAs arent that great. I bought manaburn/lifefire/call of x'ul and practically never use all 3. Haven't gotten Exodus, quick gate, or arcane root to say how they are. I'd throw the quick damage AA in there somewhere, i'm doing mine after MR/FR but before PR/DR/CR.

The only decently nice thing about having so few useful AA's is you can start on tomes of power sooner for the damage boost.
