I have a 17 Barbarian Beastlord that is blind as a bat at night, and now that I can dual wield I need to get the lantern out of my secondary hand. I went to newport and got a beetleye but it seems to be no longer working as a light source. A mage summoned me a wisp and it worked great, but ofcourse once you log or crash that one goes bye-bye. My question is where can I go at 17 to get a Wisp to put in my range slot so this blind barbarian can see? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
 
Have you tried turning up your Gamma settings in Options? I remember back in the day on my Human SK I had to turn the gamma way up to see in the EC tunnel.
 
I tried messing with the options and stuff and thats not it. I see fine with lanterns and summoned wisps and light spells. I just wanted to know where to find a wisp at. Someone in game just told me to check out old kerra isle though in sea of swords.
 
Leaving a lantern in an inventory slot ( not in a back pack) worked last I checked, I keep my jailers staff in my inventory and its a great light source. Or just find me in game and Ill hook you down with ultra vision.
 
Thanks for all the help guys, I guess since im so close to 19 I will just wait for serpent vision.
 
Unless they were removed, there are wisps in Storm Sea. My enchanter fought a few there around lvl 18 or so (db-yellow cons).

Get this from "An Aged Kobold" in Mistwoods and put it in one of your inventory slots and it will work; torches don't work for me either, but this does.
