Wiki Thread

Would it be cool if we had a stickied thread for people to post items that are not on Wiki or that arent linked up to zone/mob/loot/quest. Not everyone knows Wiki code to add it themselves and it would help those of us linking pages together. :tinfoil:

Wiki code is extremely simple, and easy to pick up. If nothing else, you can add it as plain text; it won't have fancy formatting, but at least the information will be there.

Also, several pages with indexes of other pages include sample wiki code for the creation of the new pages that you can just copy and past.

What I usually do is find a page that looks like what I want, edit that page, copy the code, and paste it into my new page.

I know how to do it but there has been times people have mentioned they looted an item not in wiki or ask about a mob not in it and they refuse to either 1) learn the code 2) worried about screwing up the page or 3) dont know how to make a new page for an item. Then even if people do add an item or mob they still are not linked up to loot/quest, ect. There are also a bunch of NPCs that say they are related to a quest but there is no dialog included.

Also it seems people do not use the discussion part of wiki that much. It just seems it would be a lot easier to link up pages if people who are too lazy to learn code/spend time to update it then they would have a way to make a quick post of what needs to be done

Brego, myself, and other of my guildies have been going through the Wiki a lot lately and streamlining it to make it look more polished and easier to navigate/follow. If you do not know how to do that, just plop the data in there and when we come across it, we can clean it up.

The thing is there are enteries that have been then for months without being touched which wouldnt show up on the new changes page that are only found of people happen across them because there are just snipets of info on them. Wouldnt it just be easier if people would have a thread to post that there is info needed?

Like here Guardsman Scott only had the NBL/WBL quest listed as being related to. The only thing on wiki relating to the SBL quest was this. I went through and made a page for the quest, items related to the quest, updated drop info on mobs, and included the SBL quest to Scott's info.

I just though it would be easier for people who are scaired to edit the Wiki page to add info.
