Why can i not see my armor?

I'm really new to the game, i bought a lot of cheap clothing since i started, but it doesn't show up on my body.

Is there something i don't know about armor actually showing up on your body?
 
Cloth armor doesn't have a graphic, since for decency's sake your character wears clothing by default. Most anything else does, though. :)
