I never knew the private EQ server emulator software was completed!

Then again, the last time I checked into EQ since my leave... 6 years ago...???... was around the time they started a new "Progressive" set of servers and was shocked that they "revamped" Freeport by setting all the NPCs outside of the building and taking the rest of the character out of FP by other means.

I'm still seeking a Classic server (I miss the days of bartering in The Tunnel so much!), whether from SOE or other private providers... But perhaps SoD can keep me here?

Well, if you want to play Live, you're going to be disappointed. You won't be making Batwing Crunchies here.

However, if you just need that *feel*, a good community with involved staff, and you're okay with the learning curve of a highly customized game, you'll find that things like the person-to-person selling experience (though not in a specific zone) possible here.
