Which combo?

Hi everyone, I've taken a very long break from SoD... and I'm planning on coming back tonight/tomorrow.

I've been just kinda lurking alot lately, and before my hard drive crashed about 3 weeks ago i had SoD installed and i would log on every once in a while. I logged on for about 10 hours total, and in the entire time i never got one group on my 46 cleric... so i'm going to start over, and 2box.

my question is which tank to go with, and which healer to go with.

i'm leaning heavily towards SHD/CLR and PAL/SHM or druid, but i cant decide what exactly i want to do.
i played a warrior on live all the way up to 55 and it the most boring class i played, so thats why i'm not including it as a choice.

any input would be appreciated, thanks!!!

Monk is also an option for tanking.

From what you listed I'd go with pal and druid, seems like you could at least be effective in the dps department in later levels with DS and pally's undead killing percs.
 
I have seen Shd/Clr wreck....so that would be my first choice possibly a Clr/Chanty just for the hell of it
 
Running two melees can be very fun, but one of them has to be tank enough to take on mobs without heals.

The ability to bind wound to 100% here makes the downtime for a two melee two box minimal.
 
Any melee type + Shaman rocks hardcore.

SK and a Cleric definitly could cause some serous damage as well.

THe Monk Cleric is definitly another strong combo since a monk can basicly destroy just about any mob in its level range by itself :) and monk gear seems to be very very cheap for very high effect.

Almost makes me want ot start a monk just to twink the hell out of him with 200pp.. makes me sick to think how easy it would be.
 
monk/shaman combos are common. Shm/rogue can also be effective, hell necro mage bst with a priest can be good. go with what you want to play though as supposed to what is suggested you play. Just please no Warrior/cleric combo. way too common...
 
I'd say Shm/Pal as they both can heal AND you have slows.

with shd/cle the cleric can rez and heal better but if something happens to the cleric sometimes lifetaps wont be enough to keep SK alive. + Slowing/hasting makes a bigger difference over bigger heals
 
I've tried a lot of combo's most work pretty well together if you know how to play the classes well in all honesty. I'm surprised I didn't notice anyone mentioned cleric/paladin the two together offer a ton of healing as well as a ton of bane damage against undead. Pal/SK also makes for another interesting combo that's not mentioned often excellent against undead as well and a nice mix of offensive and defensive skills with lots of tanking and aggro control. Personally I like cleric/paladin the most, but there's really no right or wrong combo for the most part. I've played and seen a lot of combo's most anything works well together in reality.
 
I've seen Mnk/Bst work out pretty well. Only problem is they're both useing the same gear, so you have to figure out which one you would want to upgrade first.

As wiz said..

Wizard/Rogue would be a very hard to play combo.
 
i remember a while back seeing a mage rogue combo, probably easier to play but still difficult
 
Right now I got a mage/mage combo I've started working on since I came back to SoD from hiatus for awhile I mostly play just for fun at this point, but thus far the combo has worked well 2 earth pets for rooting and tons of nuking is hard to go wrong with.
