where do i put the augment

Ok, well i'm new to the game and i baught an augment as i came into some money that would allow me to use said augment on my armor. Well i read around here, and people just mentioned put it in the box, so i figured eh maybe forge, so i tried the forge and well obviously nothing happened. So i was wondering where i need to put it to make it combine with my armor. Also like how do i get the thing where i need to put it, and if a step by step is too much, or its the main quest, then just tell me what quest, and i'll figure that out myself i guess .

You need to put the augmentation and the item with the correct slot in an aug bag. It is sold in a daytime merchant near Newport arena (don't know of other vendors).
