When an item says it is "Critical Strike: +1%" is that for spells or is that for melee crits?

I have seen this, so far, on items that are both melee and caster or I would already know =)

I think is for melee only, because as spells you already have seafires...

It is not a focus effect. It only effects melee.

There are many all/all items btw. which have some useless effects for some classes. My sash has Affliction Enhancement V and I can't remember when I used dots last time. On the other hand, it has 37% haste, not really a caster stat
