What stats would a Paladin need?

Well I am just playing around with all classes here to see what I like best and I was wondering, what stats should I give my Paladin at start up? What stats can I cap easy at end game?

Thank you much!

imo make a highelf paladin and dump points into cha, everything is easily capped at high tier. the mez resistance and charm resistance are really nice. do not under any circumstances make a human pally - being blind ftl.

PS enjoy playing the most awesome class on SoD:)

Under no circumstances should you make a high elf tbh. The racial bonus looks awesome. It is actually absolutely shit, and every single one of us are eventually highly disappointed with it. Long story short Unresistable charms do not count, most charms you will encounter are unresistable, and few and far between. In addition if you want some resistance you can just pick up mind shield. I would highly advise gnome or erudite for making a paladin.

What would make a better Paladin? How does the spec bonus of the Erudite work? Also Erudites can't see in the dark... On live not being able to see sucked.

The spec bonus of the erudites adds to everything. Avoidance, mitigation, resisting spells, throwing stuff/archery, landing spells, the amount their heals and spells land for, etc. This is a constant bonus, and never grows any larger. If you are that concerned with the sight, go gnome, their bonuses scale with the item foci you get. So 30% haste is actually 33%, 45% haste is 49.5% haste etc. Healing increment 7 is 2.1% better etc.

Aaah thanks,

So I should go Gnome simply because the haste grows with items and as better items are introduced into the game, the better the ability becomes.

Pretty much. You can get rid of the short problem without too much effort, just pay for an sb illusion or make friends with a chanter. Later on you can acquire clickies that will allow you to grow, or racial illusion. Stairs? Np click a vah mask.

gnomes can become paladins? woah ive been away from the char selection screen too long...maybe its time to make an alt:)

Ya, I created a High Elf. If I could go back and change it, I would be a gnome.
I dont know if there are any grow items, but gnomes really need it. Pallies as hybrids have SO many buffs that figuring out which buffs to click is a pain already. Asking for 1 more buff slot to be taken by illusion would suck alot.

Play what you think looks coolest and you will enjoy.

The bonus you get from gnome/erudite as a pally is minimal. I think i get like +0.5% better mitigation.. not even a whole 1%.

Is that worth it to you to look like a conehead and be blind? Is the +5% haste worth it to you to be so small you get stuck behind banners in Prison and have to get illusioned to be removed? These are the questions you need to ask yourself. Plus, all the chicks dig the high elf pallies.

basically almost another damage, healing, etc increment isn't particularly minimal. I wouldn't say the erudite bonus is better. There are a multitude of ways the height issue becomes inconsequential (illusion clickies+sb illusion).

As a high elf, I couldn't recommend them in good conscience.
