Me and my friend have been playing MMO's together for quite a while. In fact I have been playing with him since the day after I stoped playing EQ. Sadly, that was his first MMO and he never got to exp the joy of EQ. We normally play a healer and a tank so I was kinda thinkin we could have fun w/ a Druid and a Pally. I don't know how this will work since it has been years since I have played and SoD is slightly different. Just lookin for some input. Lookin forward to playin w/ everyone!!!

Druid and Paladin can work pretty well together TBH.
Good tank that can self heal and AoE aggro.
Druids are good healers, decent DPS because of DS + DoTs and some nukes. Ports are a BIG plus. More crowd control with roots.
Also if you want, you can both box another class, which would complement and round up your party pretty well.

I agree with boxing another class if that is possible. That will make the core of a strong group. At least one of the alts should be dps. The other alt should have CC or slow.
Druid/Paladin is a fairly good duo. It is however a low dps combination, so damage shields will play an important role, as well as some Druid dps on top of the heals.
The Paladin's gear will be expensive at the top levels. Just plan on farming a lot in the 60's to buy the best buyable gear for the Paladin. That is true with any tank class.
The other sad fact for any tank class is that it is much more difficult to get into a raiding guild.

My brother and I play a 4 man team: He plays a Shadowknight / Druid duo, and I play a Bard / Shaman Combo. That way we have a tank, 2 healers, lots and lots of buffs (lots even), a slower, crowd control. We also have a good deal of dps, due to having 3 classes that get pets, a few charmers, lots of dots, a few nukes/rains.
