What classes are needed

Hi guys. I am new here and I am considering dual boxing but I may play a single character.

My questions is what classes are wanted in guilds and needed for raiding? I played a shaman in eq live to lvl 55 when the cap was 60. I like being a support roll but I can play any character roll it doesn't really bother me. I just want to be a class that isn't over flooded. So what are good classes that may be lower in population?
 
I'd have to say Wizzies are always needed it seems. Plus you cant go wrong with Neco or a Mage IMO.

Enchanters are needed too it seems.
 
Oh nice. I really like playing wizzies. How is raiding on a wiz? I know in the old days they were introducing the lure line of spells to help wizzies land their damage.
 
What SoD needs is players to actually stick around and enjoy their character.

Don't play something you're going to burn out on just because you heard on the forums that the class is quasi needed.

Play what *you* want to play, not what the community is under the impression is needed, because the community is likely misleading.
 
i agree play whatever class you like and enjoy the most. only thing i would add is most guilds have already established plenty of tanks its difficult to find a guild that needs a pure tank class.
 
Yea..pure tanks and pure healers are boring imo if you are gonna go solo..but they aren't bad if you're planning to dual client...however..like everyone else said..it all comes down to what YOU want to play and what YOU are good at playing...once you're in the higher end..its really not too hard to level up an alt toon with a few guildies and gear them if your guild needs a certain class after you've already chosen your main.
