Went to poke around with newbie quests, npc's wont talk to me.

I decided today to pay a visit to enchanter guilds and see if they had any quests I could do to pass some time, the ones I tried didn't speak to me..

Seeing this thread http://www.shardsofdalaya.com/forum/index.php?topic=9187.0 I visited the newport enchanter GM who didn't reply at all to hails, and the Erudin one Lady Abyrall just told me she was mistress of the enchanter tower with no quest text, was wondering if these were broken maybe because Maimai is an old character?
 
Yeah the Erudin one is broken. I've been waiting on what they were "intended" for before I fixed them. AFAIK now, they are "erudite only" -- but I don't know if that entails illusions.

Regarding the Newport one, I'll look into it.
