weird error

My friends told me about this server so i did everything under the starting guide thingy on your main page but after i click enter world on the char i just make the screen goes black and i can hear the gfay music but then that stops and i get sent back to the server screen. my friends have logged on my account and didnt have this problem anyone think they know what this is/how to fix it?

if that doesnt work, try this
C:/program files/sony/everquest/client.ini
delete it, repatch

sometimes the settings set in your client ini file conflict with emulated versions of the server software, some opeions are manually edited in game and dont or should alwase exist in the emulated games. there are over 300 different settings within the file, so its best to just repatch it wtih the default settings that are alwase going to work.
