These parses were all done under test conditions with full raid buffs and all stats over 305 while under GM supervision. Posting here per Wiz's request.

Using Sidrav, Maul of Slaughter
Fight duration: 11:04
Melee dmg: 135,226
Melee dps: 203.65
Proc dmg: 870
Accuracy: 69.7%
Crit rate: 22.5%
Total weapon dps: 204.96
4 total procs, 2 resisted, in 11 mins

Using Shortblade of Chaos and Stormrazor
Fight duration: 11:11
Melee dmg: 118,413
Melee dps: 176.47
Proc dmg: 1796
Accuracy: 69.5%
Crit rate: 22.4%
Total weapon dps: 179.15

Using Woe, Bane of the Brother
Fight duration: 11:03
Melee dmg: 105,364
Melee dps: 159.16
Proc dmg: 8281 (includes Quiver of Sun dmg and dmg from the poison dot from the bows innate proc)
Accuracy: 75.6%
Crit rate: 32.2%
Total weapon dps: 171.41
Note: my normal accuracy is right at 80% and crit rate about 28%. The short duration explains this deviation. Over 25 worn archery mod.

Jagged Emerald Staff of Evisceration (MotG stick)
Fight duration: 6:09
Melee dmg: 54,364
Melee dps: 147.33
Proc dmg: 447
Accuracy: 64.0%
Crit rate: 25.9%
Total weapon dps: 148.54
Note: weapon proc'd 12 times, fully resisted 9, partially resisted the other 3. Normal proc dmg for me is 400 w/o Cunning which I did have for this parsing

RBoW, normally used in raids, was NOT in use for this parsing. Had it been, then the bow would have compared even less favorably. Also, my established melee crit rate is approximately 19%. These parses are all too short to draw any firm conclusions, in my opinion.

Just out of interest, what's the purpose of this post?
I mean, is it to compare bow/melee? Or is it about the encounter or something?
If the bow/melee side of things is important, then I'd personally add that I parse higher using melee than bow in almost all situations - that's swiftshot/BotFV - both are for similar ish geared/AAd people, I guess. Rangers doing less dmg with bow, while strange from a RP persepctive, seems normal enough. If this is totally not what the post is about, I'll be leaving now anyway ;)

Not trying to shit up the thread here, but before any changes are made to bow DPS, please evaluate how upping the bow DPS is going to effect the balance between monk and ranger dps. Currently monks and rangers have the same dps potential with 1hers and 2her weapons.

If bow dps gets upped that puts them completely above the level of monk dps and dps utility. I mean who wants to stand and take rampage / enrage / AE's when they could stand outside of all of those ranges and do more dps? I have no problem with rangers doing more dps with archery than monks, I think that's perfectly fine as long as the dps gap isn't retardedly huge. However, if ranged dps does get upped for rangers, maybe take away triple attack? That way if they are in a position where they want to tank they're a few tiers below where they could be with archery.

I'm just passing along requested information. I would like to say that during normal exp groups or soloing, my bow dmg is normally much higher, like in the 210-230 range but always slightly ahead of what I can do with melee. I'm guessing that the poor results on Ulaz are due to her abnormally high AC, but that's just a guess.

Honestly, if it came down to getting more archery at the cost of triple attack, I'd keep triple attack in a heartbeat. Archery sucks hardcore if you're botting.
