Weapon Graphics (epics)

I dont know about the rest of you, but when epics were first released i thought the #1 coolest thing in the game by far was the graphics on epic weapons. Still to this day, weapon graphics mean more to me then anything else, but unfortunatly SoD doesnt have many of these graphics (atleast not that ive seen) such as Ranger Epic swords, Warrior Epic swords, Pal epic sword, and so on.

I'm not necasirily asking for epic quests for all classes, but i do think that its a shame there is such wonderful graphics available yet no weapons that use them. These weapons could even be implemented w/ some of the new zones being added.

If added, i also think they should be on weapons that you're going to have a LONG time, maybe even some of the best weapons possibly to get. No point in wasting such badass graphics on weapons you only use for a short time. For all i know they could be implemented and nobody has gotten them yet, but mostly i just wanted to throw the idea out there.

If someone had an epic weapon they were like a god to me, I really hope ya'll agree w/ me on this :toot:.
 
The only epic weapon graphic that is not in game (that I am aware of) is the warrior epic. There are a lot of other neat particle effect graphics in game that are IMO and in some cases cooler looking than some of live's epic graphic choices.


Edit: ok well apprently there are a handful of epics not in use, but as I mentioned already, there are a lot of other neat particle graphic weaons available. ;)
 
there is also cleric epic (drops in ndhk aswell). But i still have yet to see many of the epics.
 
Staff of the Serpent? Or whatever the old ENC epic was called, that is a sweet one! Is it in SOD? :eek:
 
As far as I know, Monk/Bst/Zerker(Lol)/Ranger/Warrior/Paladin/SK/Wiz/Mag/Enc/Dru are all unused, actually.

Paladin used to be in NDHK, but the sword was changed.
 
how come theres only 1 or 2 epics?

why not an epic for every class? is there like a reason around that? or were they just never put in the game?

There arent any official epics. The Shaman mask and the Lifeward are both just considered highend quests.

Also I think the reason Xeldan gave awhile back was they didn't want an irreplaceable weapon from the quests, or something similar.
 
There is no bard epic



And agreeing with Jun. If you want an example of irreplaceable, look at bard epic on live. That thing was bound to your offhand for life, pretty much
 
Oh yea I miscounted because of the Zerker axe, which is a sweet axe btw (more axes)
 
jay i don't believe that the druid epic is in the game the ones i know of are cleric epic(hehe druids wielding cleric epic) rouge epic and i agree some of the stuff there taking for weapons no look very nice
 
Using this chance to once again bringing up Spire of Effluence (Mani Spear) as a weapon in reaaaallly bad need of a new graphic. :tinfoil:

I heard awhile back that the Manis spear was supposed to be getting the NDHK shm graphic.
