I have been wondering about the the warworn set of weapons that drop in Teats of Elael off the goblins and why they are recommended level 60. I heard tales that they had a purpose that was scrapped before ikky was released. Since this purpose was scrapped. I was wondering if they could instead be changed so that pets can use them. They have decent stats making them an excellent fit for that little nitch between power mage weapons and citadel weapons for people in t3-7 that don't go to citadel and don't really want to spend 150pp on a weapon for pet. I think the only thing about these weapons that need to be changed is the rec level. I believe the weapons were designed before the change to pets when recommended level effected what they could wear, so perhaps they were designed with pets using them at the beginning.
TL;DR pros cons list
Pros:
- Use a "would be" quest item rather then make them vendor fonder.
- Make it a little easier for those of us that can't quiet venture into citadel get some weapons that aren't quite on scale with those that can be earned in citadel.
Cons:
- Effecting the market for pet weapons in what could PERHAPS be a negative way.
- Enticing players that may want to side with goblins to kill them. (not sure what orcs of the other faction drop)
