Preface:
I know there are likely posts that refer to this in other threads; in fact I've noticed this comes up any time a Pally vs. SK vs. Warrior thread pops up. There is too much static in those threads for me to acquire the information I am looking for.
I am looking to turn the useful suggestions from this thread into the beginning of a Wiki guide. Maybe I'll find out there is not enough good info for that even.
Request:
As a starting warrior (level 30ish), I don't have really any trouble holding aggro against a single target but am finding it very hard to accurately click-target mobs when they're packed together. I'm looking for any advice whether it just be group procedure, engage calling, or what ui/view you guys use. Here's what I tend to do:
If there are 2-3, I let the group know, I target 1, shoot arrow, target #2 and turn on auto... if there are only 2 and the group assists, that's pretty much enough. If there are 3, I have trouble finding the third, and I don't know quite when to call for ppl to assist... on the pull? After I have foelocked each? What if ppl refuse to wait, or Bard's group songs pull aggro before I can get it, etc.
I play in 3rd person view with camera about 45 degree angle behind me... I think that may be part of the problem, maybe f9 a couple times so I can rotate around the other side of the mobs w/o spinning my warrior?
Anyway, any suggestions on what view, when to call engage, even what order targets should be engaged in (obviously in many cases kill healers first if they're there, etc), or anything else. Not looking for "Roll a Pally" or such things... maybe it's asking too much and it should just be learned from experience. I am learning, and I enjoy it but thought maybe even newer warriors could benefit and I'm sure I have 15-20 things to learn too.
Thanks guys
