Warrior DPS discussion

I know previously we have discussed 2h stance for warriors where avoidance/mitigation is sacrificed for DPS improvement under the stance. Following the same guidelines as Paladin heal stance. (only activated out of combat)

Does anyone else have any other idea's that maybe the team might put in for us? This would allow udner tiered warriors to be allowed in grps and just shafted and forced to solo flowers in og
 
I would suggest that all under tiered tanks have the same issue in your hypothetical.
 
ya I mean it would be nice to help peeps out and allow people who want to play the class still enjoy playing their class and not leach on 1 and play another class
 
Yes ... all tanks need a dps stance that puts them somewhere under the actual dps classes while sacrificing their mitigation significantly (which should scale with AC - higher your AC, the larger the percentage your mitigation suffers, so this stance can't be abused by people tanking way over-tier). Turning off foelock in the stance would be good for warriors. If there's a way to disable casting of certain spells while in dps mode, possibly disable paladins blinds/stuns and sk's hate spells. In addition, it should generate lesser amounts of aggro, so if someone actually tried to use it for tanking it would be horribly ineffective.

TL;DR - you almost always only need a single tank in a group (even in some raids). DPS get usually 4 shots to join each group. Healers even have a chance to get more than one spot. Tanks usually left in the cold. DPS stance could *mitigate* this issue.... ahahaha....mitigate. Ahem. :-/

Which is perfect because it gives endgame warriors a gigantic power boost without addressing the problems of under-tiered warriors much, if at all?
i don't see why a low tier warrior being able to use a 2h and shield wouldn't give them a boost and power too, but i mean i don't actually expect anything of the like, or anything at all to be changed about warriors
 
I really feel like high tier warriors are underpowered and being able to use Jyre and Thaz Air shield at the same time would really improve their ability to get into groups and actually contribute to them in a meaningful manner.
I hope you are just trolling. High end warriors are amazing. Not only are they good dps but they are the best tanks for anything that hits really hard.

if directed at me I don't have this trouble to find a grp it is others that do so I thought hey this might be something different that could be done

Bango, I wouldn't draw the conclusion that this guy is bad. Low tier and new tanks have a really really hard time in the current top heavy environment. The struggle is actually real.

Some of the suggestions in this thread are horrible, but the problem for these 3 classes at low 65 actually exists.
 
Low end warrior can /shield and spam /s 7. That seems somewhat useful.

I do not see how a stance is going to fix warriors on a game where gear and massive amounts of xp take the class (and other tanks) from bottom/shit tier to god tier. All a new stance does is give highend warriors on the god tier a new shiny toy and make lowend warriors no more appealing as a dps than they are (or, aren't) as a tank.

The bigger problem is that this game basically demands you to treat it like a job in order to progress. Devs could double the number of raid drops, double the xp rate, double quest drops, halve the respawn rate, double gold drops, halve charm prices, and double/halve every single aspect of this game to make it less grindy and it would still be very fucking grindy by modern MMO standards. This effects all low end players, tanks most of all. I suppose people either see that as a problem which drives them away from the game or the greatest strength of this server. Either way, any change that doesn't address that reality isn't really going to fix anything- or are people lining up to have Paladins who just finished their murk spell come group heal with those big baller 3k mana pools?
