Warrior 1HS 1HB for Primary

Hi,

I've been looking for a Primary 1hs/1hb for my warrior alt. He's not the main character, and is a v.long way from being able to do the main warrior quest for a primary weapon. I see lots of 1HS stuff for Pallies, Rotblades, Revenants blade etc. But I have seen nothing for warrior, and I check regularly on Listsold. I've spent lots of AAs on dual wield, so I don't want to switch to 2HS/B. I notice there once existed a quest for a moderate weapon, but this was taken out.

Yes shes a tank, but she does need to help in my groups with a bit of DPS. Particularly when I'm duoing stuff.

Could I suggest an implementation for a moderate quest for a weapon for a warrior for primary slot?

The Crystal Whip looks a bit better than the warpmetal 1hs that she's using at the moment. I've only seen that mob in Icewell one time, and despite a few trips back have yet to re-encounter it. But maybe the 65war & clr can duo it for the drop. Never seen the hammer you mentioned.

There is also the crafted weapons, Torment Forged is the name as far as I can remember, if Perkins is still on, check with him, or talk with your local high end blacksmith.
Procs agro + decent dps and is secondary only.
 
wait... did a warrior just complain Knights have more options for 1hers????!?!?!

I would just like to know which game your playing, since we apparently are not playing the same game.


THIERS TONS!!!!!!!! of options for 1h weapons for warriors throw ALL level ranges and Tiers.

It wasn't a complaint, that would suggest I'm unhappy which I'm not! But could you please be exact here? I was looking for something kind of like the Revs. Blade or Rotblade or similar, but as a warrior 1h hander primary. Something to beef up the DPS in my little xp duo/trios etc. The link for warrior primary stuff seems to be broken on the wiki, hence my post. But yes, I seem to be having trouble filling that first slot at the moment) I have a few 1HBs that have dropped, but they don't have v. good ratios.

Well if your looking for a warrior weapon with the same Ratio of Rotblade thats sellable your going to be waiting a long time.

Knight 1hers (that are only knight) are basicly aways going to have a Higher Ratio then other 1hers simple because knights do not have duel wield.

A level range of what your looking for would help as well, Reverent Blade and Rotblade give me a "kinda" level range and price your looking for but more information would help. I see mention of spending AAs so going to guess your 65? Are you looking strickly for something you can buy or are Raid targets also viable?

Ruby Hilted Long Sword is definitely a good start. With Pristine Code its a 13/19.
Another good weapon would be Spider Smasher, its a 14/27 (14/25 pristine) with 7 Spider Bane Damage along with stats.

Tmaps are a excellent place to look as well, Difficult Tmaps have Ebb and Flow.

I understand what you mean. I made a warrior and shaman to box their way up. At around 35 I just gave up and stripped the warrior's gear for a SK. He just did not have any dps and kills took forever trying to box.

RHLS is not really attainable until later in the game (wiki says 55+). Those frikkin Najads are a PITA. It took me days of farming using my 65 Pally to kill them while my Ranger died a lot. Agolgo got the sword, but it took some time and a high level toon. And since warriors don't get to track. It is even more difficult to find the Najads.

To get to a point: I would not recommend a low or mid level warrior try this quest unless he has a high level alt (preferably a tracker) to help him. Even then it will take some time. I would think that just grouping is much easier.

I suppose if one just wanted to work on the quest while LFG that it might be worth it. With a new portal in King's Pass (or RV neck) traveling is not that bad.
 
well Tubatha as far as i know is 65, with a boxed 65 cleric... i dont see the RHLS quest being to hard for him with a dps or two
 
Hands down the best 1hb DPS weapon a warrior can acquire early in their carrier is the Hammer of the Giants. Old One Eye is sort of an early entry level raid mob/droppable loot farming mob. If you get it pristine it will have a very respectable 35/45 ratio. Raiding you won't start to see weapons approaching this ratio until tier 5+; of course the delay is very long for a warrior weapon so it will hurt your ability to maintain aggro. I would not recommend putting much effort into trying to improve the DPS your warrior does, it would probably be better to spend your time improving your defensive gear so that you can serve a group better.

Here are a couple of weapons I recommend over the Hammer of the Giants that will improve your DPS when duoing and remain useful in groups:

Darkweaver Queen's Pincer – (Uses the piercing skill, not 1hb or 1hs) This item has a fair ratio and a low delay (so it will help you generate aggro). It also procs Vex, which is a considerably powerful spell even though the duration is so short (this is one of those spells that an enchanter would need to cast continuously to maintain).

Protector's Blade of Shielding – The Protector's Blade has a very nice ratio (21/28), nice AC and procs a rune.

Both of these weapons come from the named in Catacombs of Elthannar. The first two named should be provide a good challenge and rewards to a lower level group.

If Tubatha is indeed the character we're looking at, then I have no idea why we're bringing up warrior dps when her AC is below 1k on fomelo. As Wesell says, you should look into improving your defensive gear to better serve your group...

EDIT: saving up to get a Charm of the Guardian would help, as would getting a Chestplate of the Warlord from mielb...if you tank with a bow in your range, then you could also consider getting something as cheap as Firemane's Courage to provide more of a defensive bonus.

yeah, i've grouped with tubatha before. nice person, but could stand to be a better tank.
