Very Strange Graphics Problem

Sometimes when I am playing SoD, my screen starts to change. 1- When I run, my screen begins to zoom in and I start to run in gaps (NO, I am not using the mouse wheel nor am I drunk). 2- After that, the characters around me begin to twist into weird shapes and rotate into the ground. 3- The sky begins to rush. 4- My character starts slipping into the ground

I am not making this up. Please help me if you have experienced these problems before.

FYI: I am running a NVIDIA 7800+
 
Windows XP
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3D Now (2 CPUs)
1022MB RAM
NVIDIA GEForce 7800 GT with 256MB RAM

Anything else you need?
 
SP2 and dual core or mobile machines can have this problem. Please follow these steps that I outlined in another post :

Download this hotfix (for mobile and smp machines)

Edit the registry thus:

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Right-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager, point to New, and then click Key.
3. Type Throttle for the new key name.
4. Right-click Throttle, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
5. Type PerfEnablePackageIdle for the value name.
6. Right-click PerfEnablePackageIdle, and then click Modify.
7. In the Value data box, type 0. Make sure that Hexadecimal is selected in the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, and then click OK.
Note You can type 1 in the Value data box to enable the new performance state policy behavior.
8. Quit Registry Editor.


Use the DWORD in that value at 0 to turn off this hotfix, 1 to turn it on.
