Hey, gang. Another n00b question here. What time zone is the server in? I ask, because the day/night selling thing with the vendors, looked cool on paper at first...but once you're in the game, it's horrible. Also, it always seems to be nighttime lol. I started SoD with three friends and we're all eastern time zone.

unfortunately the server is run by euros. you will have to log in during the middle of the day for it to be day time.

fucking euros.
 
To help answer your question better and more accurately, 18 min in real life = 1 in game hour. So it's not on any time zone.
 
I just figured night is from 8PM to 6 AM. Roughly 10 hours * 18 minutes = 180 minutes (3 hours). :p
 
Also, fyi there are places with 24/7 vendors / nighttime vendors --- for example, under the docks in south newport there is a whole slew of vendors that come out only at night (who also don't care about faction/race issues) -- or kelethin as another example has merchants 24/7 (because wood elves are the master race).
 
inn type places are 24/7 as well. All towns AFAIK have night time vendors, just fewer of them and not as much selection for purchasables.
