Last night I was in a group that did eight VE tmaps. Five out of the eight chests dropped the bottomless bag of knives. My question is: was this just very bad luck of the draw, or is this just a very common item, and this happens a lot? I know 8 maps isn't very statistic worthy, but didn't know if this warranted checking the drop percentages.
 
Zomg, I need that bag! I think it was just the RNG being itself again. It is improbable but not impossible.
 
Just bad luck, I mean the loot tables are not ginormous but I took part in 4 VE's yesterday and didn't see that bag once.
 
Yeah it dropped a ridiculous amount of times yesterday. I was in that group. 5/8 maps dropping that one item is poop. :( 4 Rotted and one was looted by a druid for the novelty factor.

Seems that since it's an item that almost nobody would ever use (monks get that Thurg reward now and rogues would probably just use bows as throwing weapons suck), then maybe its drop rate can be changed. Just seems senseless to have it drop that often when it rots 90% of the time.

So does this mean there is no weighted chances for certain items to drop more often from this tier?

Almost, except for the rogues... there's nothing like assassinating a dark blue con when pulling with a dagger =P
