Various Mage questions

I have a few questions regarding one of my favorite classes from live. Here we go


1. I saw that summoning armor is not available in SoD. Was this something to be implemented, or was I misinformed, or was there a consensus that they were over powered? And was there a change given in mages favor due to the removal of that spell line? Just wondering

2. Pet's taunt. My pet does not seem to taunt. When I attack things, the only way for it to hold aggro is the good old fashioned way of beating them. As of lvl 12, I never see the message that it had taunted.

3. More of a general question: Are all spells sold on vendors up until the high end, or are there special vendors for those spells I referred to above. I recall that they were in Luclin on live, and not on the normal vendor.

4. On more general question: Are live factions still KoS in cities. That is, can a dark elf walk into Newport and not get attacked?

1. Doesn't exist. Dunno why, not sure about changes in a line, didn't play live. Pretty sure just removed.
2. He does, you won't see the message. Most of the time taunt fails.
3. Until about 50ish they're sold all over off vendors. Basically check your class merchant, in your class guildhall or whatever for em. Then after those run out, check the library in erudin (with a few exceptions, some such as the pally self heal, and one of the wiz spells are gotten from a mob, the mage ft3 staff is a quested spell, etc). Those run out at level 60, 61-65 are all gotten from buying them off of other players, or are relic/archaic, or dropped spells. Also 2 of your 60 spells are non-buyable ancient spells.
4. Newport is pretty much non-kos to everyone I'm fairly sure. Certain other cities (i.e. Grobb) are not so. But on the whole you should be able to go most places, regardless of race (note this doesn't mean you can actually buy things everywhere).
