Vah Sword 3 (again)

Ok, I know this is somewhat repetitive, and people are probably getting tired of me, but here goes.

I currently have 2 issues with the 3rd vah sword

1) The drop rate from UC is terrible. It took someone 11 clears to get it before, and I am on now a 9th consecutive full clear. As well as almost 14 total clears with no quest drop.

2) The dialogue calls for 2 qp's from UC, however the QP is lore can this be looked at please. I do not have that piece however I have seen it.

Can a dev please look into / comment.
 
I'm the "someone" you mentioned :p hang in there chap, you'll get it.

As a matter of speaking about vah sword 3.0 progress I need the drop from frost, 1 more valb ingot (would have had these done long ago from the countless clears when we were on tier) and the second cultist piece. Based on what the vah said it sounds like it may either come from UC or something else related to the cultists? Maybe a little insight or clarification from a GM could help. Thx!
 
to be honest, this sword is so ridiculously good that it probably always should have been this hard to get
 
The sword it great yet, but there are also 2 comparable and 1 arguably better weapons that are much less work but a more difficult encounter to obtain.

The 2 big issues I have is that 1) a piece my dialogue says I need 2 of is lore and 2) it has become much more difficult to obtain the third rank sword than before. Especially since before these quest pieces came from the same zone with 8 different 'wings' am all being able to drop one and each wing having its own type that drop 1+ per clear of the wing. Also, the zone was highly used and trash was a 24h repop if memory serves me correctly.

Again I am not trying to be conplainy or winey I am just trying to get the quest back to about where it was with relative work/time investment. I am on roughly clear 15 and have done 9 in a row, but have missed wc comitee a few times.
 
One thing that should be changed is the bane as they don't stack anymore. A bane damage of 3 for a weapon on this caliber is out of date. A bane damage of 11 would be appropriate.

Bane damage on weapons adds that value to your weapon's normal damage when fighting mobs of that type, it is not calculated the same way as item bane. 11 bane would not be balanced.
 
It wasn't in the patch notes but the lore flag and drop rate have already been addressed. Good luck with your quest.
 
Just an update:
Thank you to all the devs that have helped out and everyone that has come on so many pugs!!
I am going to post the total number of clears to get each piece to help those know what to expect even though it is now not what all should expect due to drop rate tweaks.

4 iron ingots - valorb - 18 clears (should be around 10 clears or less now)
Sunfire coal - farhgs - 7 clears (I think I got lucky)
2 obsidian trinkets - roughly 15 clears (from my experience after tweak should be about 6)
Frozen ice - pofrost - 4 or 5 clears

All in all took me just over 3 months being very active, but should be faster for anyone else progressing through it.

Here's my count:

4 iron ingots - valorb - 6 clears.
Sunfire coal - farhgs - 8 clears.
1 obsidian trinket - 11 clears pre-tweak, 3 clears so far post-tweak and no second trinket.
Frozen ice - pofrost - We've been done with Frost before these drops were put in the game so not sure what to expect.
