Use of #shrink in Thrug (Problem)

So #shrink was taken out of Thurg, and I think it was a great idea, since the use of # commands, in my opinion, takes away from the total immersion level. However, there is one big problem that arises with the solution (a single mob near the entrance that casts shrink when you say "I want to be shrunk).

If (and in many people's cases, when) you LD inside of a building in thurg, you rever to your normal size. In the case of big races, this means you are constantly ducking just to fit inside the building (the game makes you duck). You cannot sit or open a spell book in this circumstance, and you cannot fit through the door. Even if you happened to have a spell that would help (gate, shrink) memmed, you could not cast it since you are ducking. This means you need someone else to come to thrug to shrink you, or you need a GM to assist.

Not sure of a solution to this other than keeping #shrink in. It sure is a hassle to have someone run to thurg just to shrink you out of a building.

Yep thats what im talking bout in IRC on first day that patch took out #shrink.

Ogre "i want to be shrunk lololol" *shrinks*, goes in mines *LD*.. ONOS im stuck.

What i think is #shrink need to be brought back in, or have reducer wander ALLOVER place, or no-rent shrink potion to be 0 money from thurg. (if no-rent is fixed)

Why should big races be allowed in a city meant for dwarves, a naturally short race?

Because on WR, Thurgadin is the evil city, where trolls and ogres start and have positive faction.

Just limit #shrink to certain zones. That wouldn't be hard to code, eh? Just check if the zone has the town flag..
