Upgrade for Blade of Spiritual Infusion ?

I currently have the Blade of Spiritual Infusion and im a lvl35 SK - im looking for an upgrade now -
i found this list in the forum:

http://forum.shardsofdalaya.com/showthread.php?t=14154&highlight=Spiritual+Infusion

judging by this list the next good one would be Cryptic Runed Flail since the Spear of Savagery doesnt really have a better dmg/dly ratio.

However the flail is still a bit to high and 1h blunt - anyone know another good preferable 1h Slashing Weapon which has a better ratio which could take me to lvl50 till rottblade ?

Also - i believe since i 2box with a shaman that a higher delay is better because Spell Haste benefits more from high delay (i.e. 30% from a high delay is more then 30% from a low delay).

This part of your post is not correct (you might be able to cast between swings with a high delay weapon, however).

well in on EQ release a high delay weapon was better when somebody put haste on you because you got a way better dmg/dly then with a weapon which has a low delay

Consider a 10 delay weapon for 1h and a 30delay weapon for 2h

For 50% haste
- the 10 delay would be reduced to 5
- the 30 delay would be reduced to 15

so in other words you would have -5 delay and -15 delay - see the difference?

Previously the delays would differ by 20, now they differ by only 10 because haste is a % value

No, weapon one swings exactly 3 times for every 1 time weapon two swings regardless of how much haste you have. The relative power of weapons is unchanged by haste.

i thought hasted worked like, delay/(1.%haste)
so 50% haste they would be
10 to 6.7
30 to 20

a 3/10(.3 ratio) would become a 3/6.7 (.44 ratio)
a 10/30 (.3 ratio) would become 10/20 (.5 ratio)

so higher delay does benefit more?

3/10 = .3
10/30 = .333

Try starting with the same ratio weapons :toot:

for example:
3/10 = .3 -> 3/6.7 = 0.448
30/100 = .3 -> 30/67 = 0.448

whoops i was rushed, now i feel dumb.
i actually agreed and was surprised when my numbers were off haha. I mainly posted because harakiri23 didnt use the right haste formula.

Thier is definitely some wholes in Knight weapons during certain ranges. That can be rather annoying to say the least.

I personaly would love to see a 40ish level Quest for Sk/Pals to get a 1h blunt of some sort since thats one of the level ranges thier seems to be a missing weapon for them.

Its rather annoying finding yourself useing a weapon that the Ranger is Dual wielding. :(

AFAIK haste has no effect on weapons which are faster then 1sec (at least thats the way it is in EQ2) - so with a higher delay weapon you could still benfit from haste - whereas a low delay weapon would reach the limit sooner

Furthermore, criticial hits are higher for a high delay weapon given a greater dmg potiential - this is also means that

high crits > low crits more often

because crits are afaik % based

You can attack more requently than 1 second in SoD.

High crits are not better than low crits more often.
