unable to load SOD maps

while playing SoD i noticed my map files still say qeynos and such, so i downloaded the map pack, extracted them into the C:\program files\****\*********\maps folder and decided to test, loaded back up the game still retail maps, so i /exit'ed and deleted the whole folder and re-extracted, logged back in to test, still retail maps, frustrated at this point i decided to delete the maps folder COMPLETELY and just play without maps to see if atleast i would lose them, so i logged back in to test and STILL i have retail maps. If anyone can help me figure out how to get the SoD maps to load once they are properly installed i would greatly appreciate it.

"Do you have more than one EQ/SoD folder? And are you sure you're modifying the map data in the same one you're launching the game from?"

yes i have 2 operating systems installed one on my C: drive and one on my D: drive, i also have retail EQ installed on my C drive and sod installed on my D drive, so should i delete that other EQ folder?

"Are you seeing any sort of patching process replace the map files?"

no i wasn't seeing any patching

What you have described sounds more or less impossible, otherwise.

Ok i tried deleting my second eq folder where i stored the retail copy of the game and as soon as i did SODpatcher asked me where my eq folder was so i pointed it to the correct place and now the maps work. thank you alot, i still cant get my 3d targeting ring to show up no matter how many times i turn it on and off in the menu but thats besides the point. thank you very much for your help.
