Ulazaria, Child of the Divine

Ulazaria is the boss of Inner Prison and as such is the hardest dragon in Inner Prison.

On paper.

Ulazaria is pretty much spank and tank, while Gharontosh has a bit of strategy involved. Many guilds have troubles with the strategy and just skip Gharontosh altogether. Guilds that can't kill Gharontosh shouldn't be able to kill Ulazaria. This really detracts from Ulazaria being the boss of Inner Prison.

There are a couple ways to do this:
1) Make Ulazaria harder - Doesn't really address the problem, since Ulazaria is harder, Gharontosh just needs a strategy
2) Make Gharontosh easier - Gharontosh isn't all that hard to begin with, this would just be crippling him
3) Make Ulazaria Unengagable with other dragons up - This could be difficult, its not rare for guilds to clear a so called wing, ie hitting deyranni and on, or yash/farg. This could make killing Ulazaria time consuming.
4) Making a Key for the room to Ulazaria - I think this is the best approach but keys would need to be given to guilds retroactively, again to stop bottom feeding. I think 4 current raiding guilds have cleared all of inner prison.

I would have to agree with option 4. I think it's somewhat of a joke that guilds can kill Ulaz yet they never touch Ghar. It's a personal opinion, but either way, I think something should be done.

I've ordered some changes in the IP dragon shuffle, so yeah, this is being addressed.

I actually like Option 3

It seems to go more with the lore of the zone

Ulazaria is definately easier than ghar by a Long shot and argueably even easier than farg. Something really should be done.

Uh, i've seen you guys do him, and there are easier ways to do other than pushing as hard as you can with gear.

Ulaz actually isn't easier then Gharontosh. Honestly. If done right Ghar is a pretty quick affair.

Ulaz requires no thinking at all. Ghar takes a while to learn things. This is speaking for any guild attempting. He does a lot of different things you have to learn to make the fight go more smoothly the next time. Whereas Ulaz on the other hand, is a complete joke fight that requires nothing

Maybe current progression has changed things, but back when Steel first did Ghar, we were able to kill Ghar but were straight up lacking in the gear/AAs to kill Ulaz. Well most of that was probably from bad resists.

If you do ghar right I think ghar and ulaz are on par, Ulaz requires more gear Ghar more skill. On the other hand why would Ulaz be the boss of IP?

It's pretty obvious in her text she's the head honcho of the IP dragons.

Pretty much my thoughts.

Ulaz is easier strat-wise but overall way harder then Ghar. I've seen quite some Exodusruns where we just steamrolled Ghar on our way to Ulaz and then wiped once or twice because yeah - the strat itself is easier but the fights is way harder.

And as for the other 3 dragons, I think difficulty of them kinda depends on who you have/what guild you're in. Farg once bugged out and didn't spawn his adds. Didn't really make the fight easier for us at all because yeah - we have pro mezzers.

Dey and Yash have always been lol fights. You kinda gotta go out of your way to lose to them once you know what is needed for each encounter.

As far as Ulaz goes, I think he seems alot easier after doing Ghar which is pretty much one of the more complicated fights in game. After doing that then running in to kill Ulaz who is quite simple (but not easy) it may seem a lil anti climactic.

The thing is you aren't going to make Ulaz more "comparable" to ghar without a huge overhaul of one for the other, they require different things.

The only balancing info I can offer though is that Fusion has killed Ulaz but never completed ghar, although one of the times we were there we should have won, we had him under 20% and had mana left, just a communication breakdown.
