UI Developer needs YOUR HELP!

Lynne

Dalayan Beginner
Hello Dalaya,

I am a former UI Developer, made a number of UI skins specifically for SOD. This was about 5 years and 4 hard drives ago. I would like to start development again but, alas, I do not have any of the source files from any of my UI projects. I have previously posted them here on these forums to share with my fellow Dalayans and I am hoping that there is someone who might still be using them or have them archived somewhere on their machines.

The UIs I am speaking of is mentioned here in these links:

Some random information that I can remember:

All of my UIs incorporated many features that aren't normally available with the default SoD UI:
- One inventory window with all bags open and available
- Expanded Bank Inventory
- An extra Hot Button Bar

I had a WoW UI Clone (which was my most popular) that featured a hard-coded portrait of some Xenogears character. I believe it was Elhaym Van Houten.

I had an original UI with a "Super Window" that combined many of the statistical information and inventory slots from other windows into an all-in-one window that was really useful.

UI Name: My You Eye (or something to that effect)
Unfortunately, all of my UIs were purged from the EQInterface database and not archived.

In summary, does anyone have any of the UI files described above? If you do have any files, please send me a PM or /tell Lynne in-game.

I would like to continue my UI development, but would prefer not to start from scratch again. Much of the UI coding was learned very painfully through trial and error, mostly due to the dated client we use.

I would be happy to host any fully compatible UI's on the SoD webserver by the way. Just let me know.

Welcome back, Lynne! :) Just wanted to leave a heads up that Waldoff & Co. are hard at work on the conversion to a (much) more up-to-date client. If all goes well, the current UI will be a thing of the past in the not-too-distant future, which could render many, if not most, custom SoD UI components obsolete overnight. You may like to take a look at the Official Screenshots Thread for a glimpse into what the new UI will look like.

Long time no see.

I remember this, don't know if I actually still have it though. I may on an old archive though. I'll take a look when I get a chance.
