Tydefang the Wild

Hi all! I'm quite new posting here.

Just I want to tell all of you our adventure (or whipe) when we tried to kill Tydefang the Wild, the level 50 engage Adept on Wyverfang Cast.

First, it took us about one hour and a half to gather the people (12 in total). Everyone know in the 40-50 are roughly 15 people in the moments where there are more people in the server while other moments we are 2-4 only!

So after gathering, doing the 2 full groups and planning the attack we went to kill him (previously buffing everyone). Maybe I miss a bit on who we are but as far as I remember there was 1 paladin, 2 warriors, 1 monk, 1 rogue, 1 wizard, 1 magician, 3 druids, 2 shamans. Our plan was simple: main tank attacking frontal the guy and when he had enough aggro everybody assisting him for tank assitance (except, obviously the rogue, from the back). One shaman did the slow and debuff while the other shaman and the 3 druids all the time healing the MT. This was more or less as I remember.

We died all 2 times getting this guy down to 75% and to 56% aprox on each time (and he didn't use his complete healing).

So I need suggestions of if there is any good plan for killing him or if really this mob is impossible to kill. But please, no answers of "take a third group" or "take more people" because it is impossible. In the range 40-50 it is difficult sometimes even to get a full exp group so gathering 18 people is more than the people is connected on the times where more people is connected.

Thanks for your time!

All adepts are killable i know Narmarratuk and his friends have killed em all and Forsaken.

You leave out so little info about the fight.

Why did your MT die ? Didnt he hold agroo good enough and killed the others ? Did the healers die ?
Did your dps casters go oom did your healers go oom ?

Does the adept do any AoE or something like that ?

Well analyze the fight. Gather all info you know talk to the ppl and ask em what they think about the fight and why did you wipe. After a while or very fast you understand the whole fight and when you got the strategy on him he will become easy =)

You will feel alot better if you and your grp figure the strategy on your own than ask for one.

Has narm downed tidefang yet?

I don't think he has, narm is usually pretty good about submitting loot to the wikipedia...

I personally (abel) never witnissed narm kill this one, and i was there for quite a few of the others.

Narmarratuk has not killed Tidefang the Wild because Tidefang was introduced to the Adepts after Narm had long since passed out of Adept Engage range.

ALso not many adepts have been changed since 2.0, so it may take a little balance

The new changes only really affect large raids anc CH. Neither of these would be huge factors against Tidefang. Unless you plan on bringing more than a few clerics, 2.0 probably won't be a factor.

I wouldn't completely discount the fact

with the changes to CH, Tidefang should only be able to CH itself once per fight. Putting that aside, having monks and paladins around to stun it is always a good idea. I've been on a successful raid of tidefang only before 2.0. We had quite a few people, but so long as the MT can keep aggro and you can prevent Tidefang from CHing itself, then he shouldn't be a problem.

Bear in mind, as pointed out by quite a few people... Azure drakes don't seem to be restricted by the rule on ch's recently implemented... azure drakes still ch 4 or 5 times... as do plague priests.

So, this fight is going to be something that needs to be re-evaluated.. any cleric raid mob will be extremely difficult to kill with more limited healers on your part, and no cap on his healing capabilities. Bear in mind, I have never seen this adept done, but in theory, it would make sense.
